Each NFL team’s most underrated player in 2020

Los Angeles Chargers
Tyrod Taylor – Just when Tyrod Taylor seems to have finally earned another chance, the Chargers invest a high first-round choice in Justin Herbert to essentially seal Taylor’s fate once again. It’s an interesting conundrum for a still young quarterback (30) with a 23-21-1 record and 54 touchdowns against only 20 interceptions with running ability. What’s the difference between him and, say, a Teddy Bridgewater? Taylor deserves a real shot away from some bad Buffalo teams.
Los Angeles Rams
Michael Brockers – To be fair to Michael Brockers, anyone who has to play next to Aaron Donald is going to be overshadowed. That’s what you get when playing next to greatest defender in the game, but Brockers has made good on the former first round investment made in him with a steady productive career over the last eight years. Brockers has averaged over 15 starts every season and has seriously upped his game as a strong run defender in recent years.
Miami Dolphins
Matt Breida – One of the most impressive under-the-radar acquisitions of the offseason was the Dolphins’ move to secure Matt Breida for their backfield. The former undrafted free agent (’17) has been clocked as one of the league’s fastest players, and his healthy 5.0 yards/carry career average proves that speed can translate into very real production. A loaded Niners team somehow couldn’t find enough room for him, but that’s a win for the Dolphins.
