The most underrated college football teams from every Power 5 conference.

Long shots are always fun but almost impossible to figure out before they happen. Every bettor has a great long shot story. There’s those who bet those single-game long shots. While those are great stories, nothing beats a long-shot futures bet that hits. Think about those who bet on Joe Burrow for Heisman last year. That major hit made some people a lot of money.

There are similar bets like this, only all we need is a team to win the conference they are in. Each Power 5 Conference has some very intriguing teams. Some have odds as high as 150/1. With the global pandemic putting this offseason in major flux, this could be the year those major long shots have a chance to surprise the college football world.

It’s hard for oddsmakers to try and put together odds for teams they have very little information on. We didn’t have the spring games to get an idea who is winning certain quarterback competitions. There are new coaches across the country that are looking to add new schemes. Let’s not forget the offensive and defensive coordinators that want to put some extra spice on these traditional powerhouses.

There’s so much we don’t know, which makes a lot of these bets scary. However, since we don’t know, most other people, including the oddsmakers, don’t know either. We’re all projecting, so we have to see where we can swerve and hit it big. There are opportunities this year to connect the dots and make a big splash. These five teams might be the most underrated in the Power 5.
