1. UNC basketball questions: How high will the Tar Heels bounce back?

This is the big question that everyone in Chapel Hill wants an answer to. North Carolina basketball isn’t particularly used to not being in contention for a National Championship, much less not making it to March Madness. So after the debacle that was last season, everyone wants to know how Roy Williams is going to get the Tar Heels to bounce back and how good this team can be.

As is always the case in the ACC, it won’t be anything close to a cakewalk for the Tar Heels to be the best team in the conference. Virginia and Duke figure to be top-10 teams once again while Florida State and Louisville are wild cards that could end up making a run up the rankings at any point in the season.

North Carolina has the potential, though, to be better than all of them. The depth issues that plagued them through injuries last season have been solved as this team not only has quality up top but runs two-deep at just about every position with good options that they can feel comfortable utilizing.

Maybe the biggest factor in their potential success is what Love is for the Tar Heels and if he’s a better fit than Anthony ultimately was. But if that’s the case, North Carolina basketball should be expecting a trip to the Sweet 16, at minimum. Anything less would be a disappointment from where I’m sitting.
