1. Oregon football questions: Will the stars guide the Ducks to glory again?

As mentioned already, there are plenty of questions about players who need to be replaced at Oregon after their departures. Quarterback, linebacker and the offensive line are all positions where guys are going to be forced to step in and step up. But what could carry the Ducks in the 2020 season is the star power on both side of the ball.

We’ve already mentioned the likes of Sewell and Thibodeaux, two players with the potential to be the best at their respective positions in the entire country. However, they aren’t alone in terms of their star-power. The defense also has Slade-Matautia, Lenoir and Holland that they can routinely hang their hat on.

Beyond that, the Ducks have a stud in running back C.J. Verdell who is complemented by Travis Dye and 10-touchdown scorer Cyrus Habibi-Likio. Meanwhile, Shough will have some reliable targets with Johnny Johnson III and Jaylon Redd along with a breakout candidate in Mycah Pittman, who has monster upside.

At the end of the day, the Ducks really need the players stepping into larger roles to just do their jobs adequately. Outside of them, they have stars who are capable of carrying this team to the top of the Pac-12 and making a possible run at the CFP.
