The Utah football schedule begins with the Holy War game vs. BYU.

Sept. 3 – vs. BYU Cougars

Utah is scheduled to open up the 2020 season with a rivalry matchup against the BYU Cougars. BYU is far from being a proven team and has struggled in recent years. Even though Utah has quite a few questions it will need to answer, the Utes are a more stable program and have won every single meeting with the Cougars dating back to 2010. Prediction – Utah wins 27-14.

Sept. 12- vs. Montana State Bobcats

After facing off with a rival on a Thursday evening, the Utah Utes get to host Montana State, a team they are notably more talented than. This is a game that Utah should win with ease. Prediction: Utah wins 37-7.

Sept. 19 – at Wyoming Cowboys

Utah’s trip up to Wyoming is an interesting one and could be a difficult one if the Utes are looking ahead at all. While Utah has more talent and should be able to handle Wyoming, the Cowboys, at home, aren’t a team Utah can afford to overlook. Prediction: Utah wins 21-16.

Sept. 26 – at California Golden Bears

Much like Utah’s game against Wyoming, this is a contest that the Utes must focus in on. It would be easy for Utah to get distracted by its opponent in the following week, but this game against the California Golden Bears might be more challenging than Utah fans would like. The Golden Bears are steadily improving as a program and won eight games a season ago. This game is the perfect trap for Utah and it seems incredibly plausible that Cal catches Utah looking towards its next foe. Prediction: California wins 20-17.
