Letās take a look at the updated lineup projections for the Jayhawks.
The loss of the NCAA Tournament due to the coronavirus was a big blow for the Kansas Jayhawks. After a season of parity led to tremendous uncertainty it appeared as if Kansas was going to emerge as the nationās best team.
The Jayhawks now face some major turnover as Udoka Azubuike graduated and Devon Dotson is off to the NBA, taking away Kansasā top two scorers. Letās take a look at the latest lineup projections for the Jayhawks.
Projected Kansas basketball lineup: Marcus Garrett, PG
Entering his senior year, Marcus Garrett is expected to be Kansasā starting point guard in 2020. Garrett was a valuable role player as a junior, averaging a solid 9.2 points, 4.6 assists and 4.5 rebounds a game for the Jayhawks.
Kansas has to be hoping that Garrett continues his upward progression as he begins his final year in Lawrence. Garrett will also be asked to assume more of a leadership role as well with Azubuike graduating.
It is a very big question of how much more evolution Garrett can make this season. Head coach Bill Self will feel confident writing Garrett into the lineup as a guy who can contribute across multiple phases of the game.
