Projected Kentucky basketball starting lineup: Devin Askew, PG

The first freshman to crack the lineup is Askew, who will take over for the departed Immanuel Quickley. The 6-foot-3 point guard out of Santa Ana, CA chose the Wildcats over schools like Gonzaga, Arizona, and Louisville.

Askew, a five-star recruit, has drawn praise for his great decision making and unselfish play. On a team that is loaded with talent, having a strong facilitator like Askew will be a big positive.

Kentucky shouldn’t expect Askew to dominate with his scoring but he has enough tools to make him a threat with the ball in his hands. Expect Askew to assume the role of floor general on this Kentucky team.
