Kentucky basketball could go a few ways with their starting lineup next year depending on who declares for the NBA Draft. Here are three options.

Every year, John Calipari is ready to completely revamp his lineup, but his 2020-21 lineup might be the most solidified of his tenure as the head coach of the Kentucky Wildcats. Maybe it’s the uncertainty surrounding the world due to the COVID-19 crisis, or the fact that his Wildcats never even had a chance to compete in the NCAA Tournament. Either way, it looks like they will keep a lot of their talent.

However, these are unprecedented times. Literally anything can happen. The entire University of Kentucky basketball team could leave for the NBA or transfer out, or they could keep everyone and get a top recruiting class. It could end up anywhere in between.

As of right now, things look like they could take a turn for the worse for Kentucky, but there’s so much time to turn it around just about anything could happen. This could come back as another Kentucky contender for the National Championship or it could be one of those rebuilding years.

We live in some uncertain times, but uncertain times lead to the most interesting prediction seasons. We can go anywhere with this, so we’ll look at the best case, worst case, and middle of the road scenario for Kentucky basketball next season. For Kentucky, this could be the biggest difference of possibilities in all of college basketball.
