Jimmy Butler’s live reaction during a Formula 1 ride-along is pure entertainment.

Jimmy Butler is an NBA All-Star on the basketball court but a mess on the racetrack — even while riding shotgun.

A resurfaced video on Thursday showed Butler’s reaction during a Formula 1 ride-along and it is hilarious to watch.

The Miami Heat star and YouTube star Liza Koshy attended an F1 event in 2019. After Koshy went for a ride-along, she encouraged Butler to do the same. So he did.

The entire time, Butler couldn’t stop freaking out about how fast his driver was going. If you saw Martin Lawrence in the opening scene of Bad Boys for Life, when his character freaks out riding shotgun in Will Smith’s character’s Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, that is exactly how Butler’s ride-along went. But this was even more hilarious knowing this was real life and those Formula 1 cars can speed up to 225 miles per hour.

Every time the driver turned on a dime, Jimmy Butler couldn’t stop screaming.

“You are going too fast!” Butler yelled. “Oh hell naw… oh you driving, driving.”

Butler even hinted he was relieved when the driver rolled down the window because he felt like he was going to throw up as he clutched his heart for most of the ride. As soon as he got out, he took his helmet off and raised his arms in the air.

“You driving like a bat out of hell in there. Oh my God, I wasn’t scared y’all. I made it,” Butler said, despite the evidence showing otherwise.

“It’s all funny now until I pass out,” Butler told Koshy. “I drive a Toyota Sienna just so you know. I want to go slow, I never want to go fast. I hate going fast.”

So much for the stereotype about all sports players liking fast cars.

In the description of Butler’s video on his YouTube channel, he revealed the next time he attends a Formula 1 event he’s going there to be strictly a spectator:

“This is definitely not what I signed up for. I just wanted to see the cars, and enjoy the ambience. Liza one of us for sure won’t be doing this again.”

It looks like Butler has a newfound respect for motorists on the Formula 1 speedway.
