Duke basketball: 3 blue-chip recruits most likely to sign with Blue Devils
These three recruits are most likely signing with Duke in 2021.
Recruiting is the name of the game in college basketball and few schools do it better than Duke. The Blue Devils are one of college basketball’s true blue bloods and annually feature a lineup featuring some of the most talented recruits in the country.
Head coach Mike Krzyzewski is already hard at work trying to land the next class of star players, including a commitment from 2021 five-star forward A.J. Griffin. Let’s take a look at three more recruits likely to join Griffin in Durham next year.
3. Duke basketball recruiting targets: SG Trevor Keels
One of the most logical options for Duke to land is Trevor Keels, a five-star shooting guard from Fairfax, VA. There is a wide range of schools with interest in Keels, including Virginia, Michigan, Ohio State and Villanova.
A 6-foot-5 wing, Keels has drawn some attention for his physicality at the two. Keels’ length will make him an asset on the defensive end and plays into his more power-based offensive game.
Unlike fellow 2021 shooting guard Max Christie, who recently committed to Michigan State, Keels is a more multi-dimensional offensive player who can score at all three levels. Keels should be a plug-and-play option at shooting guard if he commits to Duke.
