Evan Fournier, Terrence Ross record video blogs inside the NBA bubble

The Orlando Magic teammates uploaded video blogs to Instagram on their first day inside the NBA bubble.

Tuesday, July 7, was the day most teams descended into the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida, possibly for the next 97 days. What better way to get an exclusive view of life inside the bubble than from the players themselves?

That’s exactly what Magic teammates Evan Fournier and Terrence Ross gave us. Both players uploaded 10-minute video blogs to Instagram of their first day inside their new home.

What did Terrence Ross show inside the NBA bubble?

Ross began with a quick panorama of his hotel room. At first glance, it looks like a typical hotel room with basic amenities: a bed, two chairs, coffee maker, couch and television, This isn’t surprising considering teams were assigned hotels based on their seeding, meaning the lower-seeded squads didn’t get as much luxury. However, the balcony view of the lake and Disney castle more than makes up for it.

Ross opened up gifts courtesy of the league: a book, blanket, hand sanitizer, hand wipes, health kit, mask, mobile charger, phone sanitizer, snacks, socks, speaker and television remote.

The team provided him two key amenities as well: a coloring book (which he plans to save for his children) and a silverware case.

Ross ends his blog by setting up his Playstation 4 and eating chocolate in preparation for the mandatory 48-hour quarantine.

What did Evan Fournier show inside the NBA bubble?

Fournier’s blog began with him riding in a golf cart to the hotel. He showcases the scenery en route to his destination which includes a boardwalk and a marina. Upon arrival, Fournier films the hotel lobby and a sign breaking down the NBA’s “Daily Health Checklist.” The list comprises of five steps involving checking their health status and temperature through an application.

Fournier greets teammate, Khem Birch while traversing a long hallway. He finally locates his room and unlocks it with a bracelet. Fournier’s room is similar to Ross’s in terms of the amenities and set up.

He films the bathroom, which is located right next to the entrance and provided with vitamins. Similar to the room, the bathroom isn’t fancy but has everything he needs. Fournier equipped his balcony with pull up rings as well.

Once he’s done checking out the entire hotel room, Fournier works out with the limited space available and ends his blog with dinner. He doesn’t open everything on camera but we get a small glimpse of a bowl of pasta.

Fournier and Ross proved that the NBA stayed true to its word of assigning the hotels based on seeding. Considering Ross seems displeased with the snacks provided by the league (chocolate popcorn, Skittles, etc.), it’ll take a few days for the players to acclimate to their new homes.

Regardless, they have everything they need to live inside the bubble for the next three months. Now it’s up to the players to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

The Magic are scheduled to resume their season on July 31 against the Brooklyn Nets. Tip-off is set for 2:30 p.m. ET.
