Josh Gordon is selling his New England Patriots Super Bowl ring.

The New England Patriots were nice enough to give Josh Gordon a ring after their run to the Super Bowl in 2018, a path Gordon played a minor role in paving. In 10 games with the Patriots, Gordon had 720 receiving yards and three touchdowns, providing Tom Brady with a legitimate option on the outside to pair with Julian Edelman in the slot and a deteriorating Rob Gronkowski who would retire after the season.

NFL players selling their Super Bowl rings isn’t an odd sight, especially given how much they can fetch at auction. The ring itself is incredible, as Heritage Auctions is asking for a retail price of $100,000.

Josh Gordon’s Super Bowl ring is up for sale, and it looks awesome.

The ring serves as the last of the Tom Brady era in New England, which likely has a lot to do with the price point. The Patriots defeated Sean McVay’s Rams by a 13-3 scoreline in one of the lowest-scoring Super Bowls in recent memory.

The ring itself has a gem carat weight of 9.85, and features 10 karat gold. With or without the Brady connection, it’s worth quite a lot in its own right.

Gordon is looking for a new NFL home and is seeking reinstatement by Roger Goodell. The Patriots, for one, don’t seem interested in bringing him back, though the likes of the Seattle Seahawks could come calling after Gordon spent the back end of the 2019 season in the Emerald City.

The 29-year-old will always be connected to Brady, as he caught the future Hall of Famer’s 500th career touchdown pass. Such a milestone is rare in this day and age, and every time said highlight is played, Gordon will be on the receiving end.

Brady’s gift in return to Gordon, a Super Bowl ring, has already been voided.
