Is Peacock free with NBC?

Here’s what you can expect price-wise from NBC’s Peacock.
NBC is entering the streaming wars very late in the game, and it will be interesting to see how they fare in such a crowded market. Peacock will have a lot of ground to cover when it launches on July 15, and many are wondering if the service will be free with NBC.
Peacock will consist of three tiers, one free and two premium. The always-free tier lets viewers sample roughly half of its library of shows and movies with advertising. Subscribers utilizing this plan will have access to an estimated amount of more than 7,500 hours of content. In regards to the amount of ad time viewers can suspect, NBC states that there will be five minutes of commercials every hour.
The first premium tier costs $5 per month or $50 per year for complete access to the entire catalog of titles with ads. This option offers subscribers more than 15,000 hours of content, and the 5 minutes of advertisement every hour time frame also applies.
The ad-free premium tier will run consumers back $9.99 per month or $100 for the year, which is cheaper than Hulu and YouTube’s plans that remove ads that come in at $11.99 per month. Over 15,000 hours of content is also on the menu for those that choose this method to enjoy what Peacock has to offer.
Comcast subscribers have access to both the free and premium with ads tiers of Peacock for no additional charge. For the premium tier without ads, they will have to only pay $5 per month as opposed to those who are not Comcast subscribers, which have to pay $9.99 per month.
Peacock has a strong lineup of both original and classic content that will make a substantial impact early on. With reasonable prices and a decent free option, the NBC service could quickly become a significant player in the streaming wars very quickly.
