The creator of the hit animated series Regular Show from Cartoon Network, J.G. Quintel, has been trying to get his next gut-busting endeavor to audiences since 2017, and now it will finally see the light of Day. Close Enough is an animated comedy series with an excellent cast exclusively available on WarnerMedia’s fledgling streaming service HBO Max.

Close Enough was initially intended to air on TBS, adding to an impressive lineup of adult animation shows like American Dad and Final Space. But it was shelved for some time until it was decided the best place for it to air was HBO Max adding to a stellar slate of similar shows, including Rick and Morty and South Park.

The series follows a millennial couple, Josh and Emily, with a 5-year-old, Candice, who all live in a Los Angeles duplex with their divorced friends Bridgette and Alex. Jason Mantzoukas, Jessica DiCicco, Jim Cummings, Maurice LaMarche, and J.G. Quintel himself make up the outstanding cast of voices actors. It’s safe to say, with everything they have to offer, Close Enough is one HBO Max series fans will not want to miss.
