The Chicago Cubs will be playing ball at Wrigley Field, but your wallet will take a hit if you want to see it in-person.

If you’re a Chicago Cubs fan and still want to find a way to watch the Cubbies play ball live, get ready to put a bit of a dent into your checking account. One of the more popular options for fans over the years has been to catch a game across the street on a rooftop with a tremendous view of Wrigley Field.

The City of Chicago has approved for 25% capacity of the rooftops, giving fans the chance to not miss out on the action. However, the ticket prices for games will be as high as $350.

That’s a bit of a steep price, but if you’re serious about refusing to watch the Cubs on TV when they’re at home at Wrigley Field, this will be your best bet. While expensive, the tickets also include food, beer and wine. If you’re lucky enough to go to a game on a Sunday, those tickets are being sold online for $250.

Not exactly pocket change, but $100 less than the usual price.

For the Cubs, they’re getting ready to kickstart the 2020 campaign against the Milwaukee Brewers on July 24. They’ll make their debut at Wrigley Field on July 27 against the Cincinnati Reds in another intriguing NL Central showdown.

This summer, Chicago will also be looking to wipe away the bad memories of the ’19 campaign. The Cubs entered the year with monster expectations, but failed to even make the postseason. With stars like Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo, Javier Baez and many others, Chicago figured to go on a deep playoff run. That simply didn’t happen.

However, the team morale is high right now and the guys are fired up to get things underway. Will a return trip to the postseason be in the cards? That’s certainly the hope. Let’s see what the Cubs will be able to get done in the coming months.
