This cat got to drive a Formula 1 race car before you did.

Formula 1 racing returned to action for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic shut sports down around the world and it’s good to see they haven’t lost their sense of humor in quarantine.

The racing company shared a hilarious video on Friday from a Japanese Twitter account that appears to feature the adventures of a cat (and it wears a hat!). The video looks like the cat is riding on a racecar in a typic high-speed race. Of course, the cat is really just sitting in front of the TV with a clever crop, but it’s been a hard year and everyone deserves to have a little fun.

When is the next Formula 1 race?

The next Formula 1 race will take place on Sunday, July 12 at 6:10 am PT. The race takes place at the Red Bull Ring and can be watched on ESPN.
