CB. Washington Redskins. Ronald Darby. player. Pick Analysis. 58. Scouting Report. 2

Ronald Darby used to be an undisputed star defensive back in the NFL. Times have since changed. Darby was a catalyst for the Philadelphia Eagles winning their first-ever Super Bowl during the 2017 season, but his play has since been concerning, mostly due to injuries. He suffered a torn ACL in the 2018 season and a hip injury last year.

When looking at his numbers the past two seasons, those injuries negatively affected his play. In 2018, Darby allowed 50 completions on 82 targets for 525 yards and three touchdowns. This past season, the veteran corner surrendered 43 catches on 67 targets for 705 yards and six scores.

Kendall Fuller is going to need as much help as possible entering the upcoming season. You’d envision that Ron Rivera will keep Darby because he’d serve as a veteran presence in the secondary. But if he flops in 2020, he’ll be handed his walking papers.
