1. Dak Prescott cements himself as the best quarterback in the division

In today’s NFL, no position is more important than the quarterback. Dak Prescott and Carson Wentz have earned their reputations as some of the very best in the league.

Even though Dak’s numbers last season were far superior, with 4,902 yards, a near 100 passer rating, 8.2 yards per attempt and 30 touchdowns, all of which came in above Wentz, the Eagles still managed to win the division. The biggest difference between the two comes in playoff time and a Super Bowl championship. That has to change in 2020.

Considering his demands of a massive contract and an improved receiver core, Prescott must display nothing but growth from last season. Adding McCarthy’s name into the mix and his indelible history with Aaron Rodgers in what was often seen as one of the best duos in the league, something similar should exist with Prescott.

Prescott was exceptional in 2019 and should be commended for it, but since he came up empty, all that means is that he cannot accept a step back when everything is pointing to an improvement in 2020. If he establishes himself as the division’s best quarterback, a position atop the NFC East should be a guarantee.
