3. Anthony Rizzo, Cubs, 1B

Rizzo is one of the smartest hitters in the MLB. Since he exploded onto the scene in 2014, he’s consistently been one of the best sluggers in the NL. His strikeout numbers have been getting lower and lower as he progresses in his career, which is a great trait to have as he gets older.

His production hasn’t slowed down at all. Much like Abreu, his consistency has been outstanding over the last half-decade.In every season since 2014, Rizzo has hit 25 or more home runs at reached at least 150 hits. These are not easy things to do for six consecutive seasons.

Rizzo is one of the most respected hitters in the game, which is what makes him so tough to pitch against. He has one of the best eyes in the MLB and has also led the league in times hit by pitch three times.

At 29, Rizzo is just entering the prime of his career. He’ll look to be a big part of the Cubs’ efforts to make a run in 2020.
