Naya Rivera is confirmed to have passed away at 33.

This story has been updated on July 13, 4:25 p.m. CT.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office has provided an update during the search for actress Naya Rivera on Monday morning. The search had been ongoing at Lake Piru in California, and they have confirmed the body found this morning is that of Naya Rivera’s.

This comes from the sheriff’s department press conference which was held at 2 p.m. PT today. Detectives had been working at the lake every day since July 8 when she went missing. And now that they have found the body, they say there is no indication of foul play or suicide. The next step will be to send the body to the medical examiner to get the official call that it is Rivera.

Rivera was best known for her role in the long-running Fox series Glee where she played Santana Lopez from 2009 when the show began through 2015. It was both her breakthrough and most iconic role that many fans still celebrate her for to this day. But Rivera has been a long-time actress, performing since she was a young girl, appearing on the series The Royal Family at the age of 4 in 1991. She’s also had roles on sitcoms such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Smart Guy and Even Stevens in her young age.

After Glee, Rivera had a few more roles — most notably appearing in Step Up: High Water, a spinoff series of the Step Up movie.

Rivera shared a 4-year-old son with ex Ryan Dorsey, who she often shared many photos with on Twitter and Instagram. Since her disappearance, fans have been pouring in with their support on social media. Just before she went missing, Rivera posted a photo on Instagram with her son and captioned it “just the two of us,” making it a bittersweet final photo for the actress.

Prior to the press conference, Ventura’s sheriff’s office tweeted the news about the finding just before noon Pacific Time today, saying that recovery of the body was in progress.

This marked the sixth search day for the 33-year-old star, who went on a boat ride with her 4-year-old son on July 8. By late Wednesday night, news had broke that during the boat trip, Rivera’s son had been found alone in the boat, and Rivera herself had officially gone missing.
