2. Seattle Seahawks

Russell Wilson has lobbied the Seahawks to sign Brown, and the two worked out in San Diego recently. Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported the team has had internal discussions, and for his part, Brown would “love” to play in Seattle.

Under head coach Pete Carroll, Seattle has not been afraid to take on players who have what might be perceived as difficult or unique personalities (Marshawn Lynch, Richard Sherman, Percy Harvin, etc.). If you can be focused and at your best on the football field, with no serious distractions, there could be a place for you in Seattle. Of course, some of Brown’s off-field issues have been just the kind of serious distractions no team wants to invite.

Garafolo’s report suggested it “could take some time” for Brown to sign with the Seahawks if it happens. That’s obvious and true, and not unique to Seattle as the discipline Brown is facing still awaits confirmation.

The Seahawks are still not inclined to unleash Wilson and the passing game, as Brian Schottenheimer continues to be employed almost continually as an offensive coordinator. But the prospect of a wide receiver depth chart with Tyler Lockett, D.K. Metcalf and Brown seems to be on the radar in Seattle, so maybe a movement toward a more modern offense piloted by one of the best quarterbacks the league is also on the radar.
