Barcelona is getting a new kit for next year
It’s a familiar look for Barcelona in 2020.
Barcelona is the latest club to debut their new threads for next season. If you were expecting a radical change from the norm for the La Liga giants, then you’re in for a disappointment. The clean and classy red and blue returns for 2020.

There is a noticeable change in the pattern here though. The checkerboard of this year’s kit is out after just one season, in favor of the traditional vertical stripes. This time, it’s a bit wider than usual in an almost identical design to the 2010-11 season.
That certainly is no accident either, as Barcelona hoisted the Champions League trophy that season and have been struggling to do the same since 2015. Perhaps a kit change will bolster the Champions League hopes for Barcelona back to what they once were.
Team sponsor Rakuten remains, along with the Nike swoosh and Barcelona logo in their respective corners.
Should we have expected more from Barcelona’s latest kit?
Secondary kits are typically where teams become a bit more creative and the same looks to be true for Barcelona. While we don’t have any official reveal yet, early leaks indicate the team will debut a black and gold look for their away jersey along with a full pink outfit with some sharp accent colors as an alternate. Now, that would be exciting.
Expect to see the away kit later this month and pick up your own this September as Nike drops the full collection of Barca’s latest kits.
