Luke Walton understands how hard it is to not break the quarantine bubble.

Would Luke Walton rather break quarantine than coach the Sacramento Kings in the NBA bubble?

Why did we let the Kings into the bubble? They’re all trying to get out because the NBA playoffs are a scary thing and they don’t belong in them. But don’t tell Coach that. He comes from a long line of winning, whether it was with the Los Angeles Lakers or the Arizona Wildcats before that. However, he is now the second person associated with the Kings to have issues with the bubble.

Walton told Mark Medina of USA TODAY Sports, “It’s a little challenging in the bubble. The borders are a little everywhere. I almost walked out the first day I was here.” Keep in mind one of Walton’s players Richaun Holmes decided the Walt Disney World Resort food wasn’t good enough, so he ordered some delivery, got caught and now has to self-isolate over some takeout.

Richaun Holmes and now Luke Walton have the Kings in double bubble trouble.

Perhaps Walton is sticking up for his player? That’d be really cool for him to do that, as Holmes probably feels completely embarrassed to be in self-isolation after breaking quarantine not even a few days inside of the NBA bubble. But this is what happens when you invite the Kings to the super cool Orlando bubble party. Eventually, they’re going to devolve into being the KANGZ! again.

The Kings are one of the 22 chosen teams to enter the Orlando bubble. They have a chance to do something the Sacramento franchise hasn’t done since the Second Bush Administration. When you make the NBA playoffs, nobody can say you’re a bad team any more. Mediocre maybe, but not bad because you were top half almost in your league. For the Kings, being average is being great.

It hasn’t even been a week and we’ve had at least two stories about nearly all the Kings men getting too close for comfort to bursting the hell out of that bubble. There may be an internal Snitch Squad keeping their fellow players in check, but they gotta be careful here. They gotta try to stomach the food that’s probably not too bad and get paid millions of dollars to play basketball.

First Holmes and now Walton, we’re wondering who the next near-escape artist is for the Kings.
