The NFL’s Power Rankings feature a pair of AFC powerhouses at the top in the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens.

The long offseason is coming to an end as NFL training camps are set to open in the coming weeks. There are still issues to sort out regarding how to play football in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, but for the purpose of this exercise, we’ll go on the assumption that the league sticks with its plan to open the season on time.

Let’s start at the bottom of the power rankings with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

32. NFL Power Rankings: Jacksonville Jaguars

This is, without a doubt, the worst team in the NFL. The Jaguars were minutes from the Super Bowl in 2017 but are now one of the presumptive favorites to wind up with Trevor Lawrence in next April’s draft.

In the interim, Jacksonville fans will have to see what Gardner Minshew can do in a full season as the starting quarterback. There are a few intriguing weapons for Minshew to work with, such as D.J. Chark and rookie Laviska Shenault on the outside, but a major talent drain on the defense should make this a long year for the Jaguars.

31. NFL Power Rankings: Washington

The franchise hasn’t officially changed its name yet, but Washington’s new moniker will probably be the highlight of the season for their fans. New head coach Ron Rivera has a lot of work to do to rebuild this organization and it starts with making a call on Dwayne Haskins.

A poor rookie season has left Haskins fighting for an NFL future since neither Rivera nor new GM Scot McCloughan drafted him. Washington could well find themselves in the mix for Lawrence or Justin Fields in April, but they should get a huge rookie campaign out of Chase Young, the consensus top prospect in this year’s class.
