30. NFL Power Rankings: Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals were the NFL’s worst team in 2019 but a strong offseason should ensure they are far better heading into 2020. There is also a tremendous reason for hope in Cincinnati as hometown kid Joe Burrow hopes to establish himself as a franchise quarterback.

Head coach Zac Taylor should start Burrow right away and he does have a decent supporting cast around him. Cincinnati’s defense was bolstered through solid pickups on the defensive line (D.J. Reader) and secondary (Vonn Bell, Trae Waynes, Mackensie Alexander) so this could be a very exciting debut for Burrow’s Bengals.

29. NFL Power Rankings: New York Giants

There is still a ton of work to do with the Giants, who saw the middle of their roster decimated by years of poor drafting at the end of Jerry Reese’s tenure as GM. A misguided attempt to reload and try to win in Eli Manning’s final years set the Giants back, but Dave Gettleman has begun to slowly assemble good pieces for a rebuild.

Daniel Jones had a good rookie year and should continue to progress with Saquon Barkley in the backfield. The offensive line is starting to take shape and the defense is a work in progress that should improve with the additions of James Bradberry and Blake Martinez during the free agency period. New coach Joe Judge should also help transform the Giants’ culture into one reminiscent of the one he left in New England, but this should still be another rough year in New York.
