Ezekiel Elliott sent a strong message to haters who think he isn’t a top running back

Ever since he arrived to the Dallas Cowboys in 2016 from Ohio State, Ezekiel Elliott has cemented himself as one of the best running backs in the National Football League. The man keeps eatin’ every Sunday, and has been a yardage/touchdown machine.

However, despite all of his success and three trips to the Pro Bowl in his four pro seasons, there are still some haters out there who think Elliott is overrated. It’s an absolute joke to think Zeke isn’t among the best in the game.

On his Twitter account, the 6-0, 230-pounder decided to send a special message to those folks who continue to bash him.

Ezekiell Elliott has rushed for more than 5,400 yards since joining the Dallas Cowboys

Whoa, Elliott really didn’t hold back here, as he surely feels like he’s not getting enough love as one of the best overall players in the league. The stats back up his claims. In his four seasons with Dallas, Elliott has rushed for 5,405 yards and 40 touchdowns.

In 2019, he had another brilliant campaign, rushing for 1,357 yards and 12 scores. He added 420 receiving yards and two more touchdowns. What hurt him, however, is that the Cowboys failed to make the playoffs despite entering the season with a ton of hype.

This was a proverbial black eye for both him and Dak Prescott, who has made headlines this week after failing to sign a long-term extension with the organization. For Elliott, it looks like he’ll be playing 2020 with a chip on his shoulder. Perhaps these stats below will provide him with extra motivation too.

Once Week 1 arrives, it’ll be on Elliott and Prescott to power the Dallas ship. Plain and simple, they have to go out and make the postseason. Another year without the playoffs will be unacceptable for America’s Team.
