Trevor Lawrence and Marissa Mowry announced their engagement this weekend.
Clemson football’s star quarterback Trevor Lawrence recently popped the question.
…And she said, “yes!”. Lawrence and high school sweetheart Marissa Mowry had been dating for over four years. Ahead of what looks to be Lawrence’s final college season, Clemson’s best player asked the Anderson soccer player if she would marry him. Lawrence proposed by almost getting down on one knee on the Memorial Stadium football field over the weekend.
Mowry posted six photos of their engagement on Instagram and she could not be happier. Here she is wearing a white dress with her hand over her mouth in amazement that she and Lawrence will soon be a happily married couple. Lawrence is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by a team like the Carolina Panthers or the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Here is how Clemson Family celebrated their star quarterback’s engagement.

@Trevorlawrencee congratulations on your engagement from the Halbrooks family.

For some, people wonder why Lawrence didn’t completely put his knee on the ground. For others, they feel super jealous that Mowry won the lottery, as she’s about to get married to the best quarterback prospect since Andrew Luck back in 2012. Everybody has their opinion about Lawrence proposing to Mowry on the football field, but all that matters is she said, “yes!”
Lawrence may only be 20 years old, but his life is about to change in so many ways in the next few months, if it hasn’t already. He is expected to bring Clemson home a third national title in five years, as well as be the first Heisman Trophy winner in program history. Once he goes pro, he’s expected to be the savior of a struggling NFL franchise. He’s also expected to be a great husband.
Congratulations on your engagement, Trevor and Marissa!
