DraftKings PGA: 2020 3M Open Picks and Analysis

The Memorial is one of my favorite PGA Tour events of the calendar year, and this year did not disappoint. was awesome. It was extremely entertaining watching the beat in the world struggle. John Rahm lapped the field, winning by 3 strokes (could have been 5). We move from a course being played back to back weeks to a course the pros have only seen for one year of data in the 2020 3M Open.

The PGA Tour stays in the Midwest this week, moving from Ohio to Minnesota. TPC Twin Cities is playing host to The 3M Open. This is the second time that TPC Twin Cities has hosted a PGA Tour event. Matthew Wolff held off Bryson and Morikawa last year, firing a final round 6-under (21 under for the tournament).

Field note, the 3M Open has been a staple on the Senior Tour since 2008. The course generally played on the easier side, lending final scores hovering around 20-under.

TPC Twin Cities is playing slightly under 7,500 yards and will play as a par-71. All three par-5’s play between 550-600 yards, so that is something to look into. The par 4’s range all over the map, from 500+ to under-350. The course sports water on 11 of the 18 holes. Water, sand, and prairie-fescue serve as the course’s main lines of defense. Seldom do you see a tree, and the wind is hit-or-miss. The greens are Bentgrass this week. My estimate is that the winner of this tournament posts a 20-under again.
