14. Daniel Jones, New York Giants

Another second year quarterback in the NFC East who has a chance to be good but must prove himself. The Giants took Jones with the sixth overall pick a year ago, and then benched Eli Manning in favor of Jones in Week 3.

And, despite the team’s 3-9 record during his 12 starts, Jones wasn’t bad. He threw for over 3,000 yards and 24 touchdowns against 12 interceptions. He averaged over 230 yards passing per game and finished the season with a respectable 87.7 passer rating.

A significant issue for the former Duke Blue Devil was the offensive line. Jones as sacked a staggering 38 times in just 12+ games, extrapolated over a full season would put him in line for a 50+ sack season.

13. Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams

Goff is an example why NFL franchises hate paying top dollar to young quarterbacks. After consecutive Pro Bowl selections in 2017 and ’18, and a Super Bowl appearance following the 2018 season, the Rams invested in a four year, $134 million contract extension . But the wheels fell off in 2020, and arrow is pointing down in L.A.

Goff followed up his NFC title with 26 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Despite throwing for over 4700 yards, Goff posted a 9-7 record and an 86.5 passer rating.

In 2020, Goff will be tasked with returning to playoff glory: in the toughest division in football and without two of his top weapons in leading rusher Todd Gurley and wide receiver Brandin Cooks.
