6. Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles

Wentz was very good in 2019 after injuries cost him much of the two preceding seasons.

The season saw Philadelphia not only come win the NFC East, with Wentz throwing for over 4,000 yards and 27 touchdowns. Most importantly for Philly, Wentz was healthy for the entire season.

Additionally, there is reason for optimism in the City of Brotherly Love. The team invested heavily in securing offensive weapons around Wentz this offseason.

Of course, they still have the best tight end tandem in football with Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert, and they’ll also return DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery on the perimeter. Factor in the trade for Marquise Goodwin and first-round pick Jalen Reagor, and the Eagles are loaded.

5. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

Despite the contract impasse, Prescott will be one of best signal-callers in 2020. Heck, the squabble may motivate him to have a great season playing on the franchise tag, as he looks for a long-term extension. The contract year is, after all, undefeated.

When you couple the contract year with Prescott amassing nearly 5,000 yards, 30 touchdowns and a 99.7 passer rating in 2019, there’s reason for excitement. Dallas’ offense should be better in 2020 with running back Ezekiel Elliott, and receivers Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup all at full strength.

The team is stacked, and the quarterback is a big reason why they should not only win the NFC East, but should also compete for a shot at the conference title this year. Dak is definitely one of the top quarterbacks in the conference, and 2020 should help him secure financial security for the long term.
