3. Biggest game — vs LSU Tigers (Nov. 28)

You could probably go down the Texas A&M Aggies’ schedule for the 2020 college football season and circle about three to four games that could be considered their biggest of the year. But with high hopes, I would like to say the LSU game could have the highest importance if everything beforehand goes well for the Aggies.

Entering the final week of the season, the Aggies could be facing off with the defending national champs with a 9-2 record or even a 10-1 record, at best. (Yes, they could be undefeated, but it is very hard to not pick Alabama, especially in the preseason). Depending on their record, their game with LSU could decide exactly how the Aggies season could end. A win over the Tigers could potentially put the Aggies in the SEC Championship Game, could determine if the Aggies earn a spot in a New Year’s Six Bowl Game, and on a lower probability, could have them one game closer to making the College Football Playoff.

Those are some hefty aspirations, but hey, we are being bold here. And obviously, if they lose, all of that will be lost and they will be competing in one of those ridiculous long-named bowl games that are played on a weeknight that no one cares about.

So what happens in their season finale? The Aggies get the win. It would be the Aggies’ second win in three years over LSU but this time around, they will not need seven overtimes to do so. And with the victory, depending on LSU’s ranking, it may or may not be Jimbo’s first signature win at A&M’s head coach.
