Liverpool fans were not pleased with NBCSN.

Liverpool has been on one big victory lap since Premier League play resumed and the team was home to celebrate its title Wednesday. The day was made even sweeter with a thrilling 5-3 victory over Chelsea.

After the game it was time to celebrate, and that meant Liverpool fans all across the world joining in on a special rendition of the team’s anthem, “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” Yet there was a problem for those watching on NBCSN.

Liverpool fans still doing fine

Cutting to a split-screen commercial was one giant tease for Liverpool supporters. They could see what was happening, but were subjected to an ad and were likely fuming at home. This seems like a gaffe where someone in charge of the broadcast just failed to grasp the severity of the moment.

The crazy thing is the ad lasted just about the entire length of the song. Maybe the director is a Chelsea fan who was upset about this latest loss.

The good news is that Wednesday remained one big celebration. Liverpool showed why this squad will go down as one of the all-time greats in Premier League history. Even finishing the season amidst the COVID-19 pandemic is a special memory no one will ever forget.

Those watching in the United States hopefully joined in on singing the anthem after some of the initial rage subsided. Wednesday’s game was too exciting to be brought down by a network mistake.

Premier League might have fans in the stands by October. dark. Next

Liverpool still has one more game to play and will be looking to finish with an astonishing 99 points this season. Supporters in the area and those around the world will surely be singing “You’ll Never Walk Alone” all summer long. That is something one small commercial break can’t ruin.
