MLB Network’s video for Opening Day will fire up baseball fans everywhere

Ladies and gentlemen, Major League Baseball is officially back. After the coronavirus pandemic wiped away the usual start date in April, Opening Day for the shortened 2020 season is here, with the Yankees and Nationals starting things off, while the Dodgers and Giants will follow soon after.

For a lot of baseball fans out there, it feels like Christmas. The long wait to see your favorite players back in the field is over. In case you needed something else to get you even more fired up, leave it to the team over at MLB Network to get the job done.

If that doesn’t give you chills, we don’t know what to tell you. Written by the one and only Tom Verducci and narrated by big-time MLB fan and actor Jon Hamm, this video has everything you need to get ready for Opening Day.

Even about a month ago, many baseball fans feared there’d be no season at all. The thought of 2020 coming and going without amazing pitches, huge home runs and incredible catches being made sure was a depressing thought. Thankfully, that won’t be the case, as MLB action will be back in our lives this week.

While some teams like the Dodgers and Yankees figure to be the favorites to push for the World Series, you never know what might happen this season. Buckle up, everyone. Baseball is back and we couldn’t be happier about it.
