Dodgers’ Chris Taylor ran into Pablo Sandoval’s butt on Friday night and took a hard fall to the ground

In a Friday night showdown between the Dodgers and Giants, fans who tuned in via their television sets were treated to a dominant performance by Los Angeles at its place. In a 9-1 win, nothing went from for the Dodgers. Well, almost nothing.

In the middle of the action, Chris Taylor ran his heart out trying to get to first base. Unfortunately for him, the result of the play provided us with what’s sure to be one of the biggest bloopers of the season, which will also undoubtedly bring a big smile to Mark Sanchez’s face.

Chris Taylor is doing just fine after a scary collision with Giants first baseman Pablo Sandoval

That’s baseball’s version of the butt fumble, folks. On the play, Taylor’s face met Sandoval’s rear end, and he then fired straight to the ground. When watching the collision in real time, you can’t help but think Taylor suffered some sort of a serious injury. Fortunately, he’s okay and was just a little dinged up.

Of all the players in the league whose butt you’d want to run into, Sandoval’s is sure at the bottom of the list. Sandoval checks in at 5-11, 270 pounds, while Taylor is 6-1, 190. Any kind of mid-air collision between the two is going to have disaster written all over it due to the 80-pound difference.

Again, Taylor is just fine and was able to walk things off. We’re able to laugh about what happened on Friday night now, but it sure looked scary at first when he was laying on the field on Friday night.
