Fans cite cheating kharma after news Justin Verlander is out for the season.
MLB fans are like elephants, they don’t forget. And when news broke that Astros ace Justin Verlander was going to be out for the season the fans practically ran to Twitter to revel in the news. In case you forgot (you didn’t) the Astros were punished for cheating over the course of multiple seasons, including when they became the World Series Champions.
We fans aren’t able to boo them in person due to the whole no fans rule, thanks COVID-19, so now we’ll take to Twitter to make them pay in lieu of other means.
Here’s how Twitter felt about the Justin Verlander news
if the Astros weren’t a piece of shit organization i would feel bad for Justin Verlander

Justin Verlander's elbow was all like, "look, I've seen the news. I'm just gonna take the rest of 2020 off and see you in 2021." Can't really say I blame his elbow.

Imagine being an Astros fan. Being so immoral u still think u earned the WS in ‘17. Still mouthing off daily on here and then seeing Verlander go down for the season. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving franchise....

Sucks that Justin Verlander just spent the last 3 months cooped up with Kate Upton, and now he's back to being cooped up with Kate Upton.

In all seriousness, we hope that Verlander will heal up quickly and come back soon so we can boo him in person next season while raising our World Series flag.
