DraftKings MLB picks July 27: The full Mont(gomer)y

Monday means MLB off days, but not that many. There is a two game early slate that interestingly is not a short slate for DraftKings MLB. Fine with me. Short slate is kind of boring. Then we get to the heart of the order. A nine-game DraftKings MLB nightcap. Keep in mind that this starts a little earlier at 6:40 pm eastern. Thankfully they didn’t chop up the slate any more!

The afternoon one is again pretty simple. Griffin Canning is a must in all lineups. The second pitcher gets a little tricky.

If you use Weaver, stack Arizona with Angels. If you use Lucchesi, stack Padres with Angels. Even if you use Lucchesi, I don’t mind an Arizona righty or two to differentiate. On a two game slate, anything goes.

I had Nelson Cruz and Twins stacks yesterday, but Greinke torpedoed all of those lineups. It was my first day without cashing in the main DraftKings MLB tournaments, but so it goes.

Baseball season turns us all into amateur meteorologists. Rain could be a problem in Cincinnati and Cleveland, but considering the truncated season, they are going to to everything they can to get these games at least through five innings. All hitters should be safe, but starting pitching in Ohio tonight is going to be dicey.

It’s going to be humid in Miami, Cincy, Houston, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh, so it could be a rough slate for pitching. Keep an eye on the wind blowing in in Cincinnati and out to left in Detroit and out to right in Cleveland. The roof will likely be closed in both Houston and Miami, mitigating the humidity.

These tips are based mostly on past performance. This is a nice tool for building a lineup, but should not be the only pieces of information you use. I recommend checking out RotoBallers for optimizers and other statistical tools to help put your best lineup forward.
