The goal of a professional athlete is to give back to those who helped along the way. That’s what Ja Morant has done.

Ja Morant is one of the NBA’s rising young stars on the court and he was able to give his mom a special gift to thank her for all of her support.

For a lot of players across professional sports, the first thing they want to do is buy their parents a car or a house to show their appreciation for all of the work and sacrifice they gave to support a dream turned reality.

Judging by his mom’s reaction, she was ecstatic about receiving the car she wanted. Pouring back into those who pour into you is so important and it’s a natural way to show that you care and appreciate all that they have done.

Ja Morant buying his mom a car and her reaction to the gift is everything.

As for what Morant is doing on the court, he is averaging 17.6 points, 6.9 assists, and 3.6 rebounds per game in his impressive rookie season and is the front-runner for NBA Rookie of the Year.

Morant first took the NBA by storm with highlight-reel dunks and trash talk which is the exact kind of energy the No. 2 in the NBA Draft is supposed to have. The Memphis Grizzlies currently have the eight spot in the western conference with a 32-33 overall record. They are 3.5 games ahead of the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Grizzlies last scrimmage matchup is tomorrow against the Miami Heat at 2 p.m. ET on NBA TV and then they will play their first game with playoff implications on Sunday against the San Antonio Spurs.
