Joe Burrow is getting familiar with his Cincinnati Bengals teammates.

The Cincinnati Bengals have yet to sign No. 1 pick Joe Burrow but that hasn’t stopped the LSU Heisman-winning quarterback from working out with his new teammates. Nervous Bengals fans should take solace in the fact that Burrow isn’t planning a holdout or refusing to sign. In fact, he’s spent his time getting comfortable with his new teammates.

Burrow was spotted working out with a few of his new Cincinnati coworkers, including second-year tight end Drew Sample, former New Orleans Saints safety Vonn Bell and defensive end Sam Hubbard, whom Burrow played with during his days as a backup at Ohio State.

Joe Burrow could have the Bengals flying high in 2020.

Burrow, fresh off throwing 60 touchdowns passes in a season that ended with a Heisman Trophy and a national championship, has been handed the starting quarterback job following the release of Andy Dalton. Burrow might not have Josh Allen-like arm strength, but his accuracy, pocket maneuverability and ability to make plays out of the pocket is as good as anyone in the last few draft classes.

Burrow will arrive on a Bengals team that has Joe Mixon at running back and a receiving corps led by A.J. Green, Tyler Boyd, and 2020 second-rounder Tee Higgins. While the Bengals have a lot of questions surrounding the defense and infrastructure, that offense, with Burrow at the center of it all, will make Cincinnati must-watch TV for the first time in years.

Burrow has a lot to overcome as the quarterback of the Bengals, as we’re approaching 30 years since Cincinnati last won a playoff game. Still, if anyone has the ability to do it, betting on a guy who just threw 60 touchdown passes in the SEC and arrived on a team with plenty of weaponry on both sides of the ball is a good place to start.
