2. Zach Harrison wins Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year

We have already talked about Harrison a little bit earlier in the article, and it is no secret that he is going to have to step up for the Buckeyes in 2020.

The former five-star in the class of 2019 is slated to be the next monster coming off the end for the Buckeyes in 2020, who has had an unbelievable run at that position since Joey Bosa stepped on campus in 2013.

Will Harrison be able to repeat Young’s feat of being a Heisman finalist? Probably not, that is some lofty expectations to have for a true sophomore. But it is not a stretch in any measure to think that Harrison could win the Big Ten Defensive Player of the year next season.

He got a surprising amount of playing time alongside Young last season due in part to his sheer talent as well as Jonathan Cooper missing a lot of the season and not wanting to play more than three games at the end of the season so he could redshirt.

Cooper will be back next year, but so will Harrison and it is going to be the sophomore’s turn to wreak havoc for the Buckeyes in 2020.

With his great speed and explosiveness off the edge, there is no telling what could be in store for Harrison in 2020. If things fall right, he could end up being the second Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year winner for Ohio State in a row.
