Arizona Cardinals-Kyler Murray will lead this team to the playoffs

The Cardinals finished in last place in the NFC West last season, but it’s clear that head coach Kliff Kingsbury has this team on an upward trajectory. The presence of Kyler Murray under center is arguably the biggest reason why.

NFL observers expect the Cardinals to take a step forward in 2020, but there are plenty of reasons to think they might be poised to up their game by a couple of notches. Murray’s ability to hurt opponents with both his arm and his legs will continue to give Arizona’s opponents fit this season.

It’s probably a year or two early for the Cardinals to challenge for a division crown, but they can ride their newfound momentum to 10 wins this season. A Wild Card berth is in the Cardinals’ immediate future.

Los Angeles Rams-Jared Goff will be benched

The Rams have a ton of financial reasons why Goff needs to remain installed as their starting quarterback for years to come. That doesn’t mean he’s untouchable. If the Rams get off to an ugly start in 2020 then Goff could easily become the scapegoat for all of the team’s offensive issues.

Benching Goff will only be used by Sean McVay as a last resort. He’ll do everything possible to prop up his signal-caller. At some point, his lack of talent is going to rear its ugly head though. That point will be sometime late in the 2020 regular season. As soon as Los Angeles falls out of playoff contention then Goff is going to fall out of the starting lineup. Look for the Rams to be in the market for a new quarterback next offseason.
