5 best uniforms in the Big Ten
The 5 sharpest looking uniforms in the Big Ten.
Teams’ uniforms are one of the best parts of college football.
Some teams, like Michigan and Alabama, have classic uniforms that have been used for decades, but never seem to go out of style. And other squads, like Oregon, are always releasing new uniform designs that are on the cutting edge.
Regardless of the type of uniform, they are part of the fabric of college football, and with the Big Ten conference being home to some of the most storied programs in the game, they are bound to have some great uniforms.
Here are the five best uniforms in the conference.
Uniform No. 5: Purdue Boilermakers
Purdue football has been around since 1887, and their traditional black and gold uniforms with a black “P” on the helmet are classic, and by itself is one of the best uniforms in the conference. But over the past few years, the Boilermakers have gotten more creative with their uniform designs, and have put out some great ones.
At the beginning of the 2016 season, Purdue released its design for three new uniforms that included a black, gray, and white jersey. They also released two new helmet designs with a white one that has a golden Purdue train on the side and a black one with a golden train track running down the middle.
And if these new uniforms weren’t already cool enough, they released an amazing all-white, moon-themed uniform last season to pay tribute to the University’s connection with NASA and space exploration.
