Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will be graduating from Alabama on Saturday in a virtual commencement

While everyone in Tuscaloosa was hoping Tua Tagovailoa would return for one more season, the superstar quarterback made the not-so-surprising call to enter the NFL Draft and was a first-round pick by the Miami Dolphins.

Despite Tagovailoa leaving early, he’ll forever be loved by Crimson Tide fans and will always be talked about around town. On Saturday, he’ll also officially be able to call himself an Alabama alum as well.

So, in addition to being a freak athlete, Tagovailoa is also a standout in the classroom? That should come as no surprise, as the lefty quarterback showcased football IQ well beyond his years time and time again when he suited up for Nick Saban and his coaching staff.

Saturday will surely be a special moment for Tagovailoa and his family, with the virtual commencement officially bringing an end to his time as an Alabama student-athlete. After some good food to celebrate, it’ll likely be back to the weight room for the rookie.

Tagovailoa is getting ready to start his first season in the pros and appears to be back close to 100 percent health after suffering his scary hip injury last season. To no one’s surprise, he worked like a mad man to get himself back healthy. Now, he’ll look to help out the Dolphins in any way he can in 2020.

It’s easy to root for a youngster like Tagovailoa. He’s been hit with plenty of adversity in recent years, but that hasn’t stopped him from battling back and coming out on top. He’ll look to do the same starting Week 1 with Miami.
