DraftKings NBA guard plays

The only really expensive guard is LeBron and I would prioritize him over Davis because the Raptors can guard Davis. Ben Simmons is an interesting GPP pivot since his shot looks better under the bubble and the Pacers may be without both Brodgon and Oladipo. If they both sit, Simmons could produce right up there with the King.

I don’t know that I trust running Lowry at LeBron, but it could force the Lakers to use more of Waiters and Caruso. At any rate, there are too many ifs on Lowry. I’d much rather run Jrue Holiday, who has proven to be an elite scorer. He may not get much with it, but he lit up the Clippers a couple of times earlier this year. The Pelicans are still treating Zion with kid gloves, so Holiday will dominate the ball and the scoring.

Jimmy Butler is a guy I hate playing in fantasy, especially with the Heat routinely running ten deep. However, with Denver’s guard injuries, this could be a time to run Butler. Who on that team can guard him? Jokic? Then Bam goes nuts. Denver is going to have their hands full with Miami.

CP3 looks good to go, but I’m going heavier on the Utah side with Jordan Clarkson and Donovan Mitchell. SGA is the OKC guard you want if you are playing any from that side. Conley is a good enough defender to give Schroder issues.

Fred VanVleet lit up the Lakers in the meeting earlier this year, but Lowry missed that game. Still, SG is a revolving door for the Lakers and VanVleet ban put up points in a hurry.

There’s a ton of value guards tonight, most of them from Denver. However, if you must take a jab at the Clippers, run with Reggie Jackson over Beverley. I’m not touching Miami either, but I do understand throwing a dart with Dragic for the scoring potential.

On to Denver. Harris and Barton are both out. If Murray sits, this becomes even more chaotic. If Murray plays, there’s still a lot to like. Torrey Craig and Michael Porter should start this game and Monte Morris, Troy Daniels, and maybe even KBD will get good run. I’m a huge fan of Porter here. He will be in every one of my lineups. I’ll have plenty of exposure to Craig as well.

Again, don’t play roulette with the rest of the Miami guards. If you must play in the muck at the bottom, JJ Redick and Dion Waiters are great options with less of the risk.
