3. Myles Garrett can be the best edge rusher in the NFL

Browns officials expect Garrett to approach the 2020 season as a man possessed. Suspension cost him valuable games during his 2019 campaign. He’ll look to take those frustrations out on opposing quarterbacks this year.

More from Cleveland Browns

The fact that Garrett managed to notch 10 sacks in his 10 appearances last year makes it clear just how productive he is as an edge rusher. His combination of size, speed and a variety of pass-rushing moves makes him a nightmare for opposing offensive tackles to handle.

Based on pure talent, Garrett is one of a handful of guys in the NFL who can realistically target 20 sacks on an annual basis. The presence of Olivier Vernon on the other side of the defensive line also gives the Browns just enough pass-rushing balance to prevent Garrett from being double-teamed on every snap. He still gets a ton of attention, but it’s not as if he’s entirely on his own.

If the Browns are going to hoist the Lombardi Trophy this season they’ll need Garrett to put up massive numbers. Perhaps more importantly, they’ll need him to keep his temper in check. If both things happen, this could be a banner year for Cleveland.
