DraftKings NBA picks August 4: Take a look at Westbrook

DraftKings did us a solid and didn’t chop up the DraftKings NBA slate for today. We have six games starting at 1:30 Eastern with the Bucks and depleted Nets. If Milwaukee isn’t resting players, they will be shortly after halftime.

The undercard has Boston-Miami, Suns-Clippers, Magic-Pacers, Rockets-Blazers, and two of the most frustrating teams for DFS purposes in Dallas and Sacramento. I’m considering crossing that game off entirely.

The pricing on DraftKings took a couple of days to adjust, but it has now. Gone are the days of getting big scores from minimum priced guys. We can’t just jam in three studs anymore. Let’s see if injuries help some of the value out.

Out: Domantas Sabonis (knee), Caris LeVert (thigh), Montrezl Harrell (left the bubble), Jonathan Isaac (knee), Joe Harris (back), Jarrett Allen (rest), Kelly Oubre (knee), Seth Curry (leg), Jeremy Lamb (knee), Eric Gordon (ankle), Courtney Lee (calf), Wesley Matthews (calf), Jalen Brunson (shoulder), Wilson Chandler (opt out), Kevin Durant (Achilles), DeAndre Jordan (opt out), Michael Beasley (coronavirus), Kyrie Irving (shoulder), Spencer Dinwiddie (coronavirus), Taurean Prince (coronavirus), Marvin Bagley (foot), Dwight Powell (Achilles), Willie Cauley-Stein (opt out), Al-Farouq Aminu (knee), Trevor Ariza (opt out), Rodney Hood (Achilles), Caleb Swanigan (opt out), Thabo Sefalosha (opt out), David Nwaba (Achilles), Bruno Caboclo (ankle).

Questionable: Victor Oladipo (knee), Lou Williams (strippers), Aron Baynes (conditioning), Jamal Crawford (conditioning), Frank Mason (back), Alex Len (conditioning), Jalen Lecque (conditioning), Goga Bitadze (knee), Jaylen Adams (back).

There have been hints that Oladipo will play today. The Pacers were never going to play him both days of a back to back anyway, so it’s no shock that he was out yesterday. Even if he does play though, I would expect his minutes to be monitored.

LouWill’s mandatory quarantine period is over, but even if he does play, it will likely be in limited capacity.

350 DraftKings points would have put you in the top 200 yesterday. I had too much Steven Adams to really have a great line. The one with Jokic, Warren, and Porter in it had both Adams and Jordan Clarkson‘s horrible line. It still cleared 300 with ease.

Back by popular demand is the trifecta, where I attempt to pick the top three point scorers of the day. Yesterday I had Embiid, Jokic, and LeBron. The Brow led the way, not the King, closely followed by Warren and Jokic. One out of three is bad.

Today is tough for the trifecta. I’ll go with Luka, Westbrook, and Giannis. I’ll still say the Freak breaks 50 in a blowout.
