LeBron James made it clear playing with Anthony Davis this season has been a dream for him and the Lakers.

The Los Angeles Lakers are the class of the Western Conference once again. Following an impressive win over the Utah Jazz on Monday night, the Lakers locked up the No. 1 seed out West, holding a six-game lead over the Clippers with only five games left on the schedule.

LeBron James continues to prove that age is just a number, while Anthony Davis is showing time and time again he’s also one of the best players in the NBA. For James, he knows just how great Davis is and he didn’t mince words discussing just how awesome it’s been to play with him this campaign.

Anthony Davis and LeBron James combined for 64 points in Monday’s win over the Utah Jazz

In Monday’s with over Utah, Davis was simply brilliant from start to finish. The Kentucky product posted a game-high 42 points and added 12 rebounds. LeBron himself wasn’t too shabby, adding in 22 points, nine assists and eight rebounds.

For the season, the 6-10 Davis is averaging 26.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. His production is exactly what Lakers fans were expecting when the team pulled off the blockbuster trade with the Pelicans to land him.

“It’s everything that I dreamed of,” James said in a post-game interview after the Jazz win. “You know, I understand and I know the talent level that he possesses out on the floor both on the interior and out on the perimeter. He’s one of those unicorn-type players that could do it all.”
