Phillies fans are having fun with Aaron Boone.

Fans are finding creative ways to watch MLB games in 2020. That involves fans in certain cities finding areas outside the stadiums to sneak a peek at the action, even if binoculars are required.

Some Philadelphia Phillies fans have taken it a step further by bringing airhorns outside Citizens Bank Park. Hearing the horns go off after a Phillies home run is fun and adds some atmosphere to the otherwise quiet games. However, opposing managers are not thrilled.

Aaron Boone is one in particular who is not happy with the horns going off. However, they are outside the stadium, so there’s not much the umpires can do.

Phillies fans bringing the noise

The problem is the horns are going off at times that can be distracting to Boone’s players. Can the New York Yankees not handle a bit of noise?

The tricky thing here is the fact the fans are outside. The umpires are not going to leave the stadium to handle the situation. One course of action that may become necessary is to have the league step in and have the Phillies set up some sort of boundary. But even if that happens, the fans can still stand right at the barrier.

Boone’s frustration makes sense. For the Phillies, it adds some life to the games and actually sounds cool when done at the proper time.

Boone complaining is only going to add to the literal noise once the fans see clips of him on the broadcast or on social media.

The 2020 season is already insane so the addition of airhorns going off seems right. Phillies fans are continuing to be passionate and while Boone is upset, he may just have to deal with it during his time in town. It will become the problem for someone else once he and the Yankees are gone.
