This Falcons WR is poised to have his best season yet, and it’s not Julio Jones we are talking about. Here comes Calvin Ridley. Watch out NFL Secondaries!

Calvin Ridley (currently ranked as: WR16): Calvin Ridley is a stud. He has two above average NFL seasons under his belt, but he’s taking the next step in year 3. There is no denying his talent, he has just lacked in the opportunity necessary to finish as a top 10 WR. This year, he will get that. With the departure of Austin Hooper, there are targets to be absorbed and Hayden Hurst can’t absorb them all.

Ridley finished as WR27 (in PPR) last year despite missing 3 games. On a points per game basis, he was a top 20 WR. It’s no secret that the Falcons defense isn’t the great and they will need to put up points to stay in games. So much attention is drawn by Julio Jones that Calvin will feast in one on one coverage.

Calvin saw exactly 93 targets last year. Here are some players that saw more targets: Danny Amendola, Austin Hooper (mentioned above), Robby Anderson, Dallas Goedert, Diontae Johnson, etc. None of those players should be seeing more targets than he does. He’s going to see many more targets this year and the numbers will show that. I love Calvin this year and I am getting him on every one of my team’s that I can. Bold Prediction: He will finish with 90+ catches, 1000+ yards and 10+ TD’s, culminating in a top 10 fantasy season for a WR.

Moving on to the Carolina Panthers.
