LeSean McCoy has quickly gone from free agent to fantasy football sleeper.

Fantasy football sleepers are amongst the most important players when it comes to playing and winning. It comes at all positions as well. Lamar Jackson was one of the top quarterback sleepers last season and went on to be the league winner for many as the pound-for-pound QB1 in the league. Others in the past few years include Patrick Mahomes, Austin Ekeler, and Adam Thielen. Now, this sleeper has been a big name in the past when it comes to fantasy but his age has seen his numbers and touches dwindle. LeSean McCoy has a real chance to be a huge get for fantasy football sleepers.

In an offense having comparisons to the likes of the Denver Broncos in 2013, there is plenty of room for success in fantasy football. Tom Brady leading this Buccaneers team gives LeSean McCoy the most value he has had since his days as a Buffalo Bill. Not because he will be the starter either. But there’s a great chance that McCoy will be the passing-down running back for the Buccaneers while Ronald Jones will anchor the team in rushing. If that’s the case in a Brady offense, then McCoy really is a legitimate force as a fantasy football sleeper.

Brady has been one of the best quarterbacks when it comes to getting the football into his running back’s hands in the passing game. And while Shady didn’t light up the stat sheet in his lone season with the Kansas City Chiefs, he did show signs that he still has some gas left in the tank. His current ADP via Fantasy Pros is RB65. Expect that to rise some with his signing still recent, but not to the point where you can’t take a chance on him with your last bench spot.

McCoy’s days as an RB1 are long gone, but he can certainly give you flex numbers, especially during bye weeks.
