Ramon Laureano’s suspension reduced after Astros brawl.

Ramon Laureano is a hero to a lot of baseball fans and it looks like his punishment for charging the Houston Astros dugout igniting a bench-clearing brawl will be reduced. He was originally suspended six games after leaping towards Astros pitching coach Alex Cintron last week after what he says the coach hurled an insult about his mother.

Many fans supported Laureano’s actions, regardless of the reason simply because the target was the Astros, who may fans are against due to the cheating scandal that was revealed last year.

Now, Laureano will only be forced out of four games, including three with the San Francisco Giants during the teams Bay Bridge Series. He will eligible to play starting Tuesday when the Okland Athletics face the Arizona Diamondbacks.

What about Alex Cintron’s suspension?

Cintron was suspended 20 games for his part in the squabble. There are no reports of his suspension changing.

The whole thing started when Laureano was hit by a pitch from Humberto Castellanos He then began walking to his base and pointed at Castellanos and began exchanging words with him and Cintron. It was when Cintron reportedly said something about Laureano’s mother when it escalated.
